A unique, hand-made sculpture enhances any outdoor setting. Liz bases her willow sculptures on a steel armature all designed and constructed herself. Her sculptures have been exhibited various venues across the Eastern region and her commissions include: Crown for roundabout in Bury St Edmunds, Easter Bunnies for Center Parcs, a fantasy playground for Somerleyton Hall and two wolves for Bury St Edmunds’ Wolf Trail.
In March 2017 the Bury St Edmunds crown was unveiled on the Greene King roundabout in Bury St Edmunds. The frame was made from steel and then clad with willow grown by us on the Greene King meadows.
In May 2016, Art for Cure held an exhibition at Glemham Hall – Liz made and sold two tennis players which were displayed on the lawn tennis courts in the grounds.
2015 was the year of the wolf in Bury St Edmunds. “Our Bury St Edmunds” funded a wolf trail in order to provide an additional tourist attraction to the town. Liz was commissioned to make two willow wolves which were on display from July 2015 to November 2015, they were subsequently sold at auction.
In 2014 she was commissioned to make some large Easter bunnies for Center Parcs in Elevdon. The bunnies and some decorative daffodils can be seen on display every Easter.
Liz’s creativity was also let loose on our living willow playground for Somerleyton Hall – which incorporated a turret, dragon, maze with dragons nest and eggs in the middle.
Other commissions have included pigs, deer, reindeer, unicorn and sheep.
